Bringing playfully designed, fully hosted messy play activities, slime, and tie-dye stations (as well as hassle-free cleanup) straight to homes, parks, and libraries.

SANTA CRUZ, CA, October 29, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Get ready to roll up your sleeves and invite kids and adults to dive into pure, playful fun. Messy Play Kits founder and beloved "Messy Play Lady," Robin Imholte, has officially expanded her in-person venture: Messy Play Parties, a fully mobile event service bringing customized sensory activities right to backyards, parks, and libraries across the San Francisco Bay Area and Santa Cruz County.

For over a decade, Robin—a former preschool teacher turned early childhood sensory play champion—has designed and shipped curated science and art activity boxes to homes nationwide. Now, she is shifting her focus away from nationwide e-commerce to bring that exact same messy, wonderful energy straight to her local community. As the online shop winds down through December 2026, Messy Play Parties is stepping into the spotlight to give local families what they really want: unforgettable, hands-on experiences where the Messy Play Team handles the setup, the engaging play, and—best of all—the cleanup.

"I strongly believe that everyone needs a bit more play in their lives," says Robin Imholte, Founder and Chief Mess Maker. "We used to send the mess to your doorstep in a box, but now we're bringing the entire party! My secret goal has always been to get parents playing right alongside their kids. By turning our focus to local mobile events, we take away all the party-planning stress so parents can actually relax, laugh, and make memories without worrying about the clean-up afterwards."

Messy Play Parties offers fully customizable sensory themes tailored for toddlers to pre-teens, and even adults! The traveling team can customize parties with interactive favorites like messy play activities, slime stations, and tie-dye. Each mobile event is guided by a trained staff of play experts who understand how to channel boundless energy into creative, open-ended exploration that secretly boosts kids' fine motor skills and cognitive development, while reminding adults to stop working and have some child-like fun.

The mobile party service is currently taking bookings for birthday celebrations, corporate team bonding days, and weekday school or library workshops across all cities in Santa Cruz County and the greater SF Bay Area. Parents and others shopping for holiday gifts for kids can grab the final remaining physical stock from the e-commerce store while supplies last through 2026.
